Hey Guys! My name is Laura Minch. I'm from Issaquah, WA and I think it's the most beautiful, best place to live! The trees are green, the mountains are magical, and Lake Sammamish is always sparkling. I also love Cabo San Lucas, Mexico! It's probably my favorite place in the world besides Issy. (Issaquah) My next favorite place I think would be Pullman, WA: home of the cougs! After coming back from Winter break, I'm falling more and more in love with it and am having a great freshman year! I'm in the Delta Gamma sorority which is awesome and am excited for what the rest of the semester will bring! I have 3 dogs which I adore. A black lab named Jet, an English Cocker Spaniel named Penny, and a Yorkie named Bailey. I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, playing badminton, watching sports, hanging out with my family and friends, taking pics, listening to music, having a dance party here and there, and playing games like taboo, uno, loaded questions, jenga, pictionary, sync up!, and best of all, charades! Anyway, I guess you should know that I'm not super confident about my writing... my oldest brother Ryan graduated with a masters in English and pretty much shows me up with anything that has to do with writing; but I try my best. I like to write how I talk. My writing is always somewhat disorganized but I feel like after a couple drafts my essays come out alright! Hmm.. My scholarly attitudes... Well, in high school I always procrastinated but in college I'm trying to learn how to organize my time better and I think it will pay off. I hope this English class isn't as hard as our teacher Rachel made it seem, but I guess we shall see! That's all for now :)

I love games! Catch phrase is the best! I also love Issaquah as well. My grandparents live on Pine Lake and it's my favorite place in the world. So perfect. I bet your brother makes a pretty good editor though; I would love to have an English major in my family! See you soon!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are lovin WSU! That is awesome! I have never been ti Issaquah, but when I went to leadership camp in 8th grade there were a bunch of really cool kids from there...small world haha! I like to do pretty much all the same stuff as you and I also hope this class isn't gonna be as hard as Rachel makes it sound. It's cool that your brother is into English, he could totally help you out lol. Oh yeah, and do you know what you wanna major in?
ReplyDeleteKayleigh - Really?! A lot of my friends were in ASB at Issaquah, who did you meet? And I'm actually majoring in Communications with a minor in Sports management! ...Should've put that in there. Oops.
ReplyDeleteLaura,
ReplyDeleteSports management minor sounds awesome. I'm in the same Kinesiology program and am going to be focusing in Movement Studies.
You will do just fine organizing time better and getting into a new routine. My sister went to UW and was an AXiD and her time in a sorority helped so much with her schooling!
I love all the cute small dogs too, but theres always room for a loveable lab in the mix. I had a Pug back at home!
Good luck, and looking forward to working with you.
